The Photographer Chronicles
I spent Christmas afternoon geocaching with my dad. This is an activity that we both enjoy, but, for me, anyway, it’s not so much about the search as it is about spending time with my father, seeing country that I wouldn’t necessarily stop to look at, and enjoying nature. I had much more fun taking pictures than I did caching. Here are some of my favorites:
I’m still figuring this blog thing out, but if you can click on the picture to get a bigger version.
- Wabbit twacks!
- Into the tameracks
- Do you see it?
- Not really sure what this is, but I found it pretty.
- A microcache. I’m not going to tell you were–and not just because I don’t remeber. I could get back to it if I wanted. Really, I could.
- There was a charonosaurus in that microcache. I pulled him out so he could get some fresh air while we signed the log.
- “Honey, did you get the tree thrown away?”
- You leave for a few decades, and the whole place goes to pot…
- I think the ceiling is sagging a bit in the kitchen
- Spring snow. *hangs head in shame*
- Dangit, the monkeys escaped the barrel!
- Home sweet home.
- Pretty pebbles peeking through the snow
- If there’s one thing I’m a sucker for, it’s tracks in the snow. If there’s two things I’m a sucker for, it’s tracks in the snow and a long perspective shot.
- the new and the old; you have to get that water out of the ground somehow!
- Lace Curtain
- I think this was my favorite shot of the day. Still out to Lace Curtain.
- I don’t know if I had ever noticed these red cliffs on Pahvant Butte before.
- Gully. Lots of dormant sagebrush.
- If there’s one thing I’m a sucker for, it’s tracks in the snow. If there’s two things I’m a sucker for, it’s tracks in the snow and a long perspective shot. If there’s three things I’m a sucker for, it’s tracks in the snow, a long perspective shot, and a dead tree.
- Powder
- Looking north-east off the side of Pahvant Butte. I think that’s Holden in the distance.
I knew you had a talent for writing (I’m biting my tongue on the spelling) but your photos are breath taking
I’ve never claimed to be able to spell. You know that. I’ve been making an effort here, though.
By the way, that local flora that you couldn’t identify is rabbit brush. And, if you notice, the “other parent” left off the period!
I think breathtaking is one word as well…. I can forgive The Parent though, she has brain apathy!
